One of the reasons this entire forum was created was to avoid any censorship from the moderators directly of any talk that involves topics they would not like to be known.
So I say a general chat where we can complain all we want is a pretty good first topic to add into the forum, and so that it is known generally any problems with their policies with their servers, or Hub.
Lastly, Thank you Skye for making a forum where people can share ideas that are less than likely Taboo in the general SS14 Forum.
I do agree that criticism of wizden is likely to not go far on wizden controlled channels (and even their allies like the ss13 subreddit). Most recently exemplifying this is this bit on the ss14 subreddit of PJB warning the Arcadis server owner from complaining about being dehubbed (they were dehubbed simply for being in the EE server and rehubbed when they left, a misuse of PJB’s hub authority):
I have experienced this censorship of abuse myself. I saw my own reports about wizden’s inappropriate – and sometimes outright illegal – behavior (as extensively documented here) be censored from their official github and even unofficial channels like /r/SS13 whose allied moderators shadowhid my posts about wizden’s wrongdoings (even when proven with receipts). So far, Wizden and their allies have done a comprehensive job covering up their bad behavior and I don’t think the average SS14’er has any idea on the abuse that the server owners have taken (as also documented in that link).
Even after the majority of SS14 admin staff straight up walked out at one point, most of the same toxic people at the top are still in charge of the SS14 project.
So I think it is important for there to be independent outlets for community discussion so wrongfully dehubbed servers still have a home, and they can show publicly the inappropriate actions of the people with unchecked power over the community.
I believe that the majority of issues with censorship would be solved if they just ignored the hub for anything that isn’t illegal, or spam. None of the Splinters would have been so steadfast if they just didn’t bother to stop people who made them mad because they were just that toxic to belittle others in order to fulfill their ego.
I’m banned on Wizden Community without a reason, which I believe is just because I shared updates to other discord communities, which is a horrible sign of them wanting to remove any information that could be bad about them.
