How do I setup

I played fair bit of Planet Survival and enjoyed building stuff. Yet I struggled with some things.

How do I setup the following?

  • Telecommunications server
  • Wireless cameras
  • Access-restricted airlock

Comm server does not appear to be allowing headset or intercom common channel communication, what does it need?

With wireless camera, I tried setting up combination of movable wireless camera, wireless camera router and wireless camera monitor console. Both router and camera had “Setup” context menu option, yet I was not successful in setting those up.

Regular airlocks are easy to make, but anyone (even wildlife) can open them. How do I make airlock require ID card?

For this, you have to put the access key for the channel into the server. I believe each server can only handle one key. (It may be difficult to find spares since I’m not sure if they’re in cargo or not)

We tried this before and could not figure it out; I think it’s not possible currently

There is an access configurator object, but I’m not sure if you can gain access to it in planet survival mode. It may be in one of the lathes but dunno.

(Didn’t know wildlife could open them!)

What about “common” channel, does it have a key? Non-wireless cameras, do they work?

Checked “generic” git repo, access configurator appears in department head lockers, with adminghost role and on CentCom map. No more mentions.

Common channel I’m pretty sure does have a key

No way to build non-wireless cameras currently

Thanks for checking, yeah I do recall it being in the hop & CE locker. Planet survival has a special PS-only set of research items we could put it in to make it researchable then buildable

Regarding common, EncryptionKeyCommon is not that common. Neither is ClothingHeadset. There is one key in cargo crate… “the grand lottery $$$”. Also, “hydrated scurret” crate, whatever that is, has cargo headset.

hehe yeah

I probably need to make those orderable from cargo directly… having to play grand lottery until you get one is a bit too hardcore :sweat_smile:
